FAN CLUB FAQ's
Q: What will I
receive by joining the Maurice Watts Official Fan Club?
A: As a member you will receive our newsletters and
information packets, electronic post cards, as well as being able to participate
in members only contests and areas on the fan club website.
Q: Is the club really free?
A: Yes... Since the internet allows fans from around the
world to access the same information at the same time, it
easy to provide a free membership. Donations are
always welcome to support and maintain the website and fan
club. There will be opportunities to purchase items,
such as an official membership card, t-shirts, hats, DVD's, CDs and more.
Q: Will I be able to participate in the fan club or is it
strictly a newsletter fan club?
A: As a member of this fan club, you have the opportunity to
participate in many projects and activities. Ask questions,
send in comments, ideas and suggestions, participate in the
newsletter, volunteer for a department, group or project, or
attend our fan parties and trips. There is something for
everyone to do!
Q: Do I need to renew every year or do I only have to
join once?
A: No, once you join you are a member for life. Just
keep your email address current. Since the majority of
the newsletters are sent via email, it is important you do
have have your email box full. Members who
consistently have full email boxes will be dropped.
Bounced emails will be dropped also.
Q: What happens if I change my mind after I join, how can
I cancel my membership?
A: Wait for the next email from us. At the bottom of
the email there is a link which reads: SAFE UNSUBSCRIBE,
click this link. You will be able to unsubscribe from
there. Note that if you cancel your membership, you
will not be able to join again with the same email.
You will need to provide us with a different email address.
Q: What is the newsletter?
A: The MWFC Newsletter is our full-color
newsletter/magazine. It is filled with photos, information,
articles, interviews, special features, contests, reports
and links from our members and representatives from all over
the world.
Q: Are we notified whenever Maurice is going to be in our
area for an autograph signing or event?
A: We try to announce special events as often as we
can. Maurice lets us know about important events he
wants his fans at and we will let you know. Sometimes
there is only a few days notice.
Q: Will the Fan Club provide us with
news/appearance/schedule information before it's made
public?
A: We do everything in our power to make sure that our
members are the first to know about all of Maurice's
upcoming events, shows and appearances. We get the news out to our
members via our mailing list, web site, and newsletters.
Q: Will I get a chance to meet Maurice through this fan
club?
A: While it is NOT guaranteed that you will meet Maurice at
anytime while you are a member of this club, we do try to
give our members the opportunity to see Maurice in person at
in-stores and other personal appearances he does. However
there is NEVER a guarantee. We have held contests in
the past where fans have been able to go to private events
with Maurice.
Q: Will I have the chance to meet any other fan club
members?
A: That's what this club is all about! One of the best
parts of being a member is meeting other fans, therefore we
do our very best to arrange special activities. All of our
members, both online and offline are invited to join us, and
help us plan the activities. You'll hear more about this
once you're a member.
Q: Does Maurice really know anything about this Fan Club?
A: Absolutely! Maurice designed this web site for the fan club as a way of
uniting his fans and connecting with them on a more personal
level. Maurice is here with us every step of the way.
Q: Why should I join this fan club?
A: The Maurice Watts Official Fan Club is a unique fan
club in that we put the fans first. Our members are our TOP
priority. We not only want to keep you informed on Maurice's
career, but we want to make sure you are having FUN and
enjoying your membership with us. This fan club exists
because of Maurice and is special because of its members. All of
us have one very important thing in common--Our love and
admiration for Maurice and his career. That is the tie that
binds us together and THAT is what makes this club so
special.
